Interior Design Internship Summer 2025

Indie House is looking for a summer intern! If you are passionate about all things design, and wanting the inside experience of an interior design studio + shop, this is for you. Qualified candidates for this internship work collaboratively, are detail-oriented, and are personable. No software skills are required, but if you know some—a major bonus.

You will be assisting our close-knit design studio with project work and miscellaneous tasks around the studio & store. We have both residential + commercial design projects, and a retail store simultaneously, so somebody who is interested in both those aspects of business is golden.

In-person at our Des Moines location

 What would a typical day look like?
Shadowing our design team to learn the processes of an interior design studio. Giving input on designs + sourcing products + spreadsheets. Styling the floor, and potentially helping with incoming inventory.
